is a Catholic homeschooling cooperative located in Austin, Texas. We offer- classes for homeschooling students two days a week, and
- biweekly family consultations with outstanding educators.
Classes.
Our classes are held in multi-age classrooms at St. John Neumann's Catholic Church in Austin from 9:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Most students begin the day with morning Mass at 8:45.Classes cover the entire range of normal subjects from K-12: Theology, Literature, English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, and Foreign Languages. Participating families are encouraged to choose or continue using texts and curricula that best suit their children.
Consultations.
Classroom work is considered secondary to the work done at home, and coordinated with it through regular individual family consultations. Biweekly consultations with both parents and students are provided for children in fifth grade and above. Consultations for younger children are provided at least once a month.Schoenstatt.
We are an initiative of Schoenstatt Families in Austin. Our classes and family activities are imbued with the movement’s Marian spirituality; and we invite parents to attend regular Symposia conducted by the Schoenstatt Fathers and other Schoenstatt educators. Together, our classes and Symposia promote the entire family’s spiritual formation.- Note: For more information about Schoenstatt, visit the Schoenstatt Austin website.
